When do YOU think there will be a cure?
I read about some stem cell trials done on mice that allowed them to walk again within 48 hours.
I'm just wondering when you think there will be a cure for MS?

I think (and hope with every ounce of my body and soul) there will be a cure by the time I would be converting to spms. I am 25 years old now and have quite some time till then .... hopefully.

I hope they will put an end to MS symptoms in the next 10 years. I don't know that there will ever be a "cure" but symptom free would be good enough!

I doubt there will ever be a cure (at leadt researched commercially) as they make too much money off of us being sick!

Sometime after they find the cause. MS is an extremely complex illness and it could be a very, very long time. Hopefully not!

I'm trying to realign my jaw. While I may have to rebuild some muscle, that's minor considering my current situation
This list of other illnesses it may treat could change our perspective of the way we treat some conditions

Are you saying that TMJ has a link to MS?
Re: When do YOU think there will be a cure?
I clicked on that link and received a Trojan Horse blocking error from my anti-virus?civickiller wrote: http://tmjcalifornia.com/tmj-associated ... disorders/

And I got the same Malware warning that Kronk did.
Probably the only safe way to look at that site will be by using a pre-Intel Apple Mac.
Not a very nice link to have posted here.

Like the drug companies are going to let there be a cure for MS so they can go out of business. Not going to happen.
Re: When do YOU think there will be a cure?
With well over 2 1/2 million people with MS on the planet, and with thousands diagnosed weekly, the drug company that does finally find the cure will not have any monetary concerns.

Re: When do YOU think there will be a cure?
There have been several treatments on that poor MS mouse that have stopped and reversed the disease in mice. But sadly, none of them have worked in humans.
As for when there will be a cure....who knows? Could be 5, 10, 25 years. I think it will be stumbled upon, likely in grass roots research which is done at the university level. Contrary to what some people believe, the drug companies don't do a lot of research on looking for MS cures. They scan what is going on at the universities and pick and choose what they think will give them the best return on their investment. Their money is spent on trials but doesn't come anywhere close to the money they spend on marketing and sales.
