Granted first patent to diagnose MS pattern

Though it is known since 2008 that MS patterns can be discriminated by the presence of antibody signatures, it was a research subject until now.

Now the first patent has been granted (February 2016). It is important because pattern II is "dramatically responsive" to plasmapheresis (and probably also to specific medication) while other patterns are not.
