Should I get LP
So I have been getting sicker, and getting sent from dr to dr, for the past few years. My neurologist just basically told me, after recent scans that he had already been suspecting possible MS. He ordered labs, including ones for lupus and B-12. He said it could also be fibromyalgia. He wants to do a spinal tap. I am uncertain about it, especially since he said the results may not be 100% conclusive for diagnosis. I asked him what if I don't get it done and he said we'll repeat the scans in a couple months and go from there. The MRI shows brain and sinus abnormalities/lesions. The CT shows spinal lesions. My eye dr discovered an abnormality on my optic nerves years ago. My GP, and other drs, are all in agreement that I have an autoimmune issue based on symptoms. They just haven't formally diagnosed which one! So frustrating!!!
