so for the first time in over a decade, i'm running out of vit d3. i started looking for a sublingual (as if i couldn't have been administering drops sublingually all this time anyway), and have found myself belatedly learning about liposomes.

now i'm sort of curious about this product, or something similar: https://nakapro.com/products/bonus-size ... 5610&_ss=r
wouldn't the liposomes make the sublingual approach unnecessary?? still on the learning curve with this one!

Re: liposomes
The fine print on the back recommends that the drops be taken sublingually. Another option is to use sublingual tablets such as these.jimmylegs wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 3:13 pm Liposomes as Advanced Delivery Systems for Nutraceuticals (2016)

Superior Source 5000 IU D3
They’re made on the same equipment that’s used for nitroglycerin tablets. The tablets are small and dissolve quickly.
The liposomal product contains 1500 drops per bottle or 500 1000 IU doses. I currently find that I need to take 5000 IU/day in order for my D3 to stay at 45-47 ng/mL. At 15 drops/day that comes out at 100 doses per bottle. The Superior Source D3 has the same number of doses. However, it’s easier to use and roughly 1/3 the cost. It lacks vitamin K2 though, but that can also be acquired inexpensively. Example: Doctor’s Best K2
Re: liposomes
i had read elsewhere re vitamin c that the liposomal aspect would mean that beneficial serum levels could be achieved via a product taken orally, because the liposomes would hold up in the GI tract. so if a product is going straight into the bloodstream sublingually anyway, why liposomal? tbd.
thx for the links, will take those options into consideration as i figure out my next steps. given what's left in my supplies, i've got a fair bit of time to investigate

Re: liposomes
I order almost all wife's supplements in liposomal/phytosome form or sublingual in some cases as the co-enzymated B1, except minerals and most vitamins that it's absorption is enough either way.
There are though some most absorbable forms than liposomal, for example the CurcQFen for Curcumin (https://aor.ca/wp-content/uploads/AOR_2 ... nt_r11.pdf)

Re: liposomes
a couple of years ago, i was interested to see research which found, if memory serves, that curcumin can effectively flip the copper zinc ratio. i'll have to take another look for that study, and see if i can tell whether it involved a liposomal form.
