New day New surprise.

Post by Terry »

Another new symptom today. Lump in the throat. I'll head downstairs in a minute to take mag. I wanted to read here first. I've been careless about taking the supplements lately.
I've added quite a few new symptoms in the last few months. Double vision (gone for now), itchy-pin-pricks, butt cramps (not nice to wake up to, but gone for now), and now the lump in my throat. When you add these to the issues I had already...whew. Not complaining too much, still making it okay, but the MS certainly goes on. and on. and on.
I'm still clinging faithfully to the homeopathy, but the reality is...new symptoms.
Even wondering if I'm stepping into SPMS. The new stuff comes so easily. Or am I having mild relapses since some of the symptoms go away? The progression continues, I guess, either way. A bit frustrated, looking for ideas/direction.

It does get discouraging Terry, I agree. Everyday, I learn how to walk again it seems. If I had new symptoms, I too, would be very upset... get lots of rest , not too much.... keep fighting.... Carole

Man, Terry...really sorry.
You're been going thru a rough patch.
Hope the mg. helps out! Jimmy's talked about how it helped her throat.
Does the summer heat/seasonal stuff affect you?
I know it kicks Jeff is the butt with fatigue, spasms and leg pain.
He's better in the cool weather or with air con cranked.
You should see our electricity bill 8O
feel better,

ugh terry, cheer is so right - i was terrified by the throat lump, and despaired possibly worse than at dx. i hope the mag rescues you the way it did me.

i hear b6 and potassium really help - so if you like bananas, load up on those when you take your magnesium pills/foods.

if you're taking any d3 throughout the day currently, for the future do keep at least part of your daily mag intake separated in time from the d3, so that some of your mag has a chance at its other necessary tasks, without getting monopolized by the d3 interactions.

hope you feel better soon!!!! :( no fun.

Thanks you two. Good thing about this forum...when someone puts out an SOS, the posse comes running.
Took my mag, and zinc, and fish oil, and multi, and D (ha) and hoping not to forget in the morning.
Carolew, I will keep fighting.
I actually feel better these days. My mind is clearer. The new symptoms mess me up, though. A reminder that I am progressing or changing or something.
Cheer, my air went out last week and I didn't call to have it repaired. I am moving my work office this month and my son and I are tearing my kitchen out (mostly my son), so the $$$ is tied up for now. Afraid to spend any more.
It was the hottest week of the year here, but I really don't think it mattered to my MS. Same ol' same ol' I think. Some wobbly legs and weak arm and walking on marbles and all, but I have that anyway. Would the heat make me have a lump in my throat? It is supposed to get cooler now. Good thing.
So what do you think about RRMS or SPMS? How can you tell when you've "crossed over"?

JL,
I will separate them tomorrow. Tonight, I just wanted to get it all in (skipped the B12).I reminded myself of you today, JL, clearing my throat. It feels "fixable" but is still there. Know what I mean?
I knew that I could come home and read. Good thing when someone has gone before...makes it not so scary.

know how you feel terry, when you've let it go for a while and then you're just desperate to chuck everything at it!
re the throat issue, yep, i sure do know what you mean.
this forum is the best for that - i mean not at first, when you get dx'd and want to know the future, but when something specific happens, and others can help coach you through it.
hope it clears up for you in a day or two :)

This may sound crazy, Terry, but a pack of frozen veggies on the back of the neck may help out a bit until air con is fixed. I know some people swear by their cooling hats and vests, too.
stay cool and hang in there... hope the kitchen turns out great!

sorry to hear it Terry. I'm afraid I don't have anything else useful to add. Just wanted to say sorry that you're in a rough patch. I hope things pick up soon.

Thanks Mrs George. I really am doing okay. I'm up getting ready to head to work. I just suddenly became worried about the amount of new symptoms coming my way and the ease with which they come. I realized last night that I missed a couple, too. For a while I'd stand up from the "potty" and think my butt was wet. It was not. It just felt wet and cold. That went away. I now get "skin-on-fire". I had experienced burning deep within my legs and upper stomach, but never on my skin. I remembered that one last night when the skin on my legs was burning in bed.
On a positive note, one way the homeopathic remedy is supposed to heal is "from the inside out". So many of my new symptoms are "surface", maybe my body is actuallty healing. I think I'll stick to that thought (as much as possible) for now. I really don't want to be SP. Heck, I really don't want this at all. Onward.

I have wet/cold skin. It's a pain but you aren't alone in it! Mine is my torso so for the last 3 weeks I have essentially been wearing a cold, wet t-shirt! vile!

i used to have that. it would feel, if i sat down with shorts on, like i was sitting on something comfortably warm with one leg but on cold wet steel with the other. i haven't had it since 2006 though. i would tend to attribute it to part slow recovery from the dx incident and part to the klenner short-term megadose protocol. terry remind me again, what's your daily supplement regimen when you're really on track with it?

Terry,

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hopefully we can chalk it up to the heat. I think of you often, being that we are fellow buckeyes. I simply hope to God that you get feeling better. MS sucks the green one.

JL,

In the a.m., I take probiotic, fish oil, multi, B12, and 2X a week, D.
At night I take the mag and zinc.

I have been taking digestive enzymes, but lately, they sit beside my desk at work, unopened for the most part.

Chew licorice root, but again, lately it sits.

I ordered a bottle of Bazi from a customer of mine who is selling it. Mostly, I was impressed with the minerals it has. She is to deliver it to me on Monday. The nutritional info is here, JL.

I figure I'll cut everything else out while I use this. What do you think?

Lew, Thanks. I really am doing fine, just wondering what's up with me. I think of you too and hope you are mending.
