Thanks for posting that Bob. I think it's interesting to see a specific recommendation about exercise intensity/frequency:
I looked through the references and I still don't see evidence that any studies have been done to evaluate whether exercise has any impact on the disease process. I think they should take their intensity/frequency recommendation and do a trial where they measure progression / relapses. Do you think we could get big pharma to fund that?A training frequency of 2–3 sessions per week using an initial training intensity of 50–70% of VO2-max corresponding to 60–80% of maximum heart rate is recommended.
The type of fishing that I do involves lots off exercise. Should be called catching... Just trying to stay standing on the rolling ocean is a workout. Now cranking up the fish seems like just plain fun until when I get home with sore arm muscles. Now bobber fishing from the shore, well that should be called resting. I feel great out in the ocean fishing, but by the time I get to the beach I am truly wore out. Fish for dinner... Cheers Mark

Re: Exercise and MS
Bob your going to upset me with such comments as this, you need to try walking in my shoes while i'm getting to the point where I actually do fish and then back home. There are about 6 miles worth of walking involved in one fishing trip and 5 of them are in the boat!!Lyon wrote:Lew.....it's OK to exercise.
