Canadian Documentary ????!!!!

Post by ozarkcanoer »

OK... so I've seen posts on this board about a Canadian documentary coming out on the 24th of November. That's not very far away. I searched the whole board for the word "documentary" and got only a few hits. This sounds HUGE !!! Would anyone out there who knows more than I do (which is NOTHING) give us some more scuttlebutt on this ????????

Hi Ozark-
It's Saturday, November 21, 7-8pm on CTV's news show "W5"
Will be available to stream live on line around the world.
Features Dr. Zamboni and the Italian team, the SUNY Buffalo team, patients that have been treated with the Liberation procedure and me and Jeff at home. Thanks to Aston Embry for hunting down the "Cheerleader" and connecting me to the news team.
Awaiting final confirmation as to this exact airdate, but that was what the team wrote me most recently. As with all news shows, another story could pre-empt this, but we'll see.
I'll keep you posted.

cheer,

my husband looked up CTV "W5" on the web. He found it, but he discovered that we would have to subscribe to CTV to view the documentary, $6.95 per month to watch the CTV news channel.

Huh...I didn't see anything like that on the site...not sure. It will be available for free on their site...(maybe not live streaming next Saturday, might be a week later. ) Not sure, I will ask. They have alot of the medical news stories on line for free now- Avis Favaro is the reporter. Still waiting for confirmation from her.

This brings me to a point I wondered about time and again: Some posts contain complete texts (not only citations) from studies, reports, articles etc. Shouldn't we bother a bit more about copyright? Would be a desaster if a board member would have to pay for informing us. Or am I just oversensitive? Being a designer, I'm really into this.

Ernst, good question... It is my understanding that you have to pay for live streaming, but videos are available for free after the live broadcast.

Well, you can't watch Desperate Houswives (sigh..), but I did watch one of their news stories/documentaries (so sad!), and it played for France, who are currently beating Ireland in the football, also sad...
