leg problems

Post by mare »

5 years ago I had terrible pain throughout my left leg, it was burning, picking, and numb. I could not lift my leg up. My leg has not been right since, and is weak. Anyone had this?

Yes, I have had the leg pain etc. that you had. It did get somewhat better after time but worse as I do things. My other leg has now done the same and both become worse again when active. Did you have swelling too? That seemed to baffle the Dr.'s. Thought I had a blood clot at first. Did not. I'm probable MS. See neuro. tomorrow, maybe some answers.

Yes I had swelling. The doc said I had siatic (?) problems. But mri showed no siatic problems. I am seeing a neur. on the 15th. I have a lot of electrical problems. When I am having these attacks, I can hardly walk.

I have leg pain too. Starts in my hip shoots down to my foot on some occasions usually with much use. At this time my neuro thinks its arthritis and is sending me to get an X-ray.

I have also had shoulder/arm pain. That pain radiated from the shoulder to my fingertips in some cases the elbow to the fingertips. (Both arms different times) The elbow pain was believed to be tennis elbow. I did have a surgery on my right shoulderfor calcific tendonitis. Was scheduled to have the left one done when I developed the optic neruitis.

Some months later I had the numbness in my left hand and was sent for an MRI of my spine and they found a lession there. My Orthopedic doctor won't touch my shoulder now that I have been DX with the MS.. To be honest, The shoulder hasn't bothered me since the year of my DX. Makes you wonder...

My husband had this years ago. They called it Neuralgia. Just a fancy word for damaged nerve. Duh! isn't that what MS is? Anyway, his leg got red, tightened up and he was in severe pain for several minutes. Eventually it went away.
