Sunlounger in Katowice 13th Jan

Post by sunlounger »

Hi all,

Arrived today in Katowice ready to see Dr Simka and Dr Hartel on Monday for a MRV,Doppler on Tues and possible treatment on the 13th :D

I managed to get Dr Haacke's MR Protocol done in the U.K but the Radiologist said there was no obvious venous obstruction.
When I looked at the images last night it looked like there was clearly a problem high up on my right internal jugular. ??
I'm going to phone Dr Simka Monday morning and see if he can take a look at these images.
Hopefully they will be good enough so I won't have any need for a further MRV and no more contrast (gadovist) injected. :(

I will post how the tests go Mon and Tues.

Good luck with the good doctor, sunlounger ! I am interested to hear what Dr Simka has to say about your "normal" MR protocol, since he is one of the experts at finding these problems.

How exciting, Sunlounger! We will love to hear all your details! Perhaps you could ask Dr Simka if he anticipates putting additional teams together, which might move up his scheduling!! :D There is nothing better than hearing about all this improvement, but it makes my September date seem a long way away! :D Well, have a fabulous, productive week!! There is his colleague Dr Kostecki in Tychy(Poland) kosteckj@op.pl providing Doppler testing but not sure if he is also arranging procedures ?
I will try and find out as much as possible this week :D

Hi all,

Thanks for your support. :D

Yesterday I went to meet Dr Hartel at the department of magnetic resonance in Zabrze and had a few further scans but he could not tell me if I had any signings of CCSVI. So I came back to the hotel a bit upset still unsure.

Today I went to meet Dr Simka at EuroMedic in Rolna Street Katowice.
He asked me too lie down on the table for the Doppler examination.
Straight away he said I have a problem on my left jugular about half way down also there could be a problem high on my right but would need the venogram tomorrow to check this more. :D

So I am very happy and excited to say I will be having the procedure tomorrow ether angioplasty or if needed a stent :D

I couldn’t feel in any safer hands than Dr Simka and his team. :D

When I was waiting at Dr Simka’s for my taxi this 82 year old lady came up to me speaking quite good English and gave me a saint christopher pendant saying that I was going to be lucky in Poland and also for the rest of my life and she would pray for me for all the year. :D

wow this nearly moved me to tears but I'm still holding it together just :D

Should be back at the hotel Thursday when I'll hopefully be liberated wooo hoooo :D :D :D :D :D :D

Thx
