not to mean any demeanor; but there is no 'left' nor 'right' azygos vein. That why it is called so.

Here are my Doppler test results:

“DOPPLER PERIPHERAL VENOUS BILATERAL:

The examination of both internal jugular veins demonstrates normal venous flow characteristics in the right jugular vein and diminished respiratory phasicity in the left internal jugular vein without findings of reflux or occlusion.

The examination of the vertebral veins demonstrates sustained end-expiratory reflux in the left mid-vertebral vein in the supine position with normal venous flow characteristics in the right vertebral vein in the supine position and normal emptying of both vertebral veins in the upright position.”

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supine_position

The technician played back the images recorded and I viewed the test on the monitor (they also burned it on a CD for me). The vein that was to appear as ‘blue’ appeared as ‘red’ almost 80% of the time in the supine position, and steady blue when I was sitting up. We did not test at an inclined position.

It was my suggestion that I sleep sitting up and the technician thought it wouldn't hurt to try.

I slept last evening on my back about 90% reclined on a ‘Wall-Away’ La-Z-Boy that inclines virtually horizontal. My symptoms this morning were good, so I will continue with this for a few weeks.

For three nights I have slept reclined in the La-z-Boy, and my MS symptoms have returned dramatically.

Not sure by your post what position you slept in, did you sleep horizontal, sitting up or inclined the whole body?

Chronic Venous Insufficiency, Reflux "experts Video&quo

Post by AndrewKFletcher »

This video is from Stanford, It is very comprehensive, yet fails to identify how gravity can be used to reduce the insufficiency, Varicose veins, associated oedema and complications.

It also shows how alternatives are mocked by surgeons.

It is however a great video.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I have

Andrew question-

Post by Selmahope »

Andrew-I'm not diagnosed with MS yet but have all the symptoms and have been in major downward/non functional homebound state for the past 3 months. I'm getting checked out again for MS (been on this journey for past 3 years). May also be Lyme disease induced MS.

I raised my bed 3" Sunday night-- I have had dizziness going on as part of this horrific 3 month journey I've been on anyway but today/midde of the night became so dizzy I could hardly walk at times......I've not had that before.

I see you mention dizziness-- do you think this increase is due to the IBT and will straighten out? On the good side I've noticed my arms not getting as numb at night-- downside noticed more spreading of numbness on my left side that started a month ago.

Dizzyness etc first two weeks

Post by AndrewKFletcher »

Probably down to the huge detox as stored salts and other minerals move towards the bladder more efficiently.

First two weeks can bring about different adverse reactions for some.

Generally after first two weeks you should feel the benefits of IBT more.

Prevalance of Varicose veins among the general population, which of course include results from people with multiple sclerosis:

http://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/v/varicos ... ountry.htm
45 per 1000 (NHIS95)
Prevalance Rate for Varicose veins:

approx 1 in 22 or 4.50% or 12.2 million people in USA

In this pole we have shown a distinct connection with people who have multiple sclerosis and venous insufficiency or varicose veins.

Thank you for providing us with this important data, which I am sure will interest Dr Francheschi, Professor Zamboni, Dr Schelling et al.

This poll is looking very interesting, please vote, even if you can't relate to varicose veins your vote counts.
