Hi Finn, I have been reading this thread but never jumped in. Many of these clinical trials need to be larger. For example the Esteriol{sp} trial was only done on 17 people I believe.....That's not big enough.
Also when they do double blind placebo controlled trials they put as much weight on the EDSS score as they do on the MRI....I know this for I am currently involved in a study.
I also think we have to look at the many people with MS who never had a treatment option years ago.....how has their MS progressed without a C r a b drug. Not at all saying they are perfect....but hey they are the best we have right now!

I bet many people wished they had a treatment option 20 years ago.
http://www.pneuro.com/publications/ms/i ... l#Theories Here is a link to a site I like. It is written be Neuro's and not updated often. I also think the NMSS spends a large amount of money on trial study's of drugs. It is not just the drug company's. But it seems they are the ones with the most unlimited supply of money, that I agree with you.
Here is a link about clinical trials and how they judge the effectiveness of them.
http://www.nationalmssociety.org/Highli ... inical.asp I do agree that lesions and clinical relapse do NOT go hand in hand...MS is a silently progressing disease.
I do enjoy reading this thread....I loved your article. Keep up the good work finn...........Kim
