Conerned it has nothing to do with his language but eveything to do with what he says in his posts. I am sure Malden is aware of that as well.

I'd say CCSVI is the first real potential cause for hope that's come along since I started following MS.

I've cross referenced quite a few IP's. I could point out as many pro-ccsvi fakes as I can anti. CCSVI is purely a financial transaction for the profession & charity luvvie duvvies, pretty disguisting when you consider whats at stake.

Human nature is just too self centered to get things running effectively. I blame all of us for being so blindly respectful to a profession who put themselves and their financial position infront doing an effective job for the people they owe a duty of care to.

Most CCSVI campaigns are sub-contracted out to marketing professionals. The big tell is they're not very good at it because they're over-reliant on handouts, from the people they claim to help.

In my area, people are tripping over brown paper bags.

We reap what we sow, so we can expect CCSVI to be swept under the carpet. We're still accepting BS answers from a profession who claim to be intellectuals. Many responses wouldn't even hold-up in a school playground.

If the higher ups in the charities/medical profession were assessed on their competence they wouldn't be able to hold down a job at McDonald's.

Most of the CCSVI groups are just healthcare reps, continue to do the superficial "we're helping the needy" yarn while dipping their pockets.

The industry just can't be trusted to make informed decisions. They're proved it time and time again with numerous other non profitable treatments. Where does that leave us?

My gues is we will have a few hundred scattered CCSVI foundations, telling each other they are doing good. This should privide enough leads to find CCSVO,CCSVO, CCSVO, rallies going, ie, pigeon hole everything, multiple the business and do sod all other than rattle tins and exploit the vulnerable.

If you're the patient, I hope you are getting value for money because you're the bottom of the food chain. If not, please try to think of ways to intercept this abuse.

Governments have already stated their intent. They will protect the charities and medical profession every time because it's the best financial option.

Cece I would say it is a medical hypothesis. If it could be discussed as such I do not think we would be having the problems on this board that have surfaced in the last year.

I would proffer that cataloging and cross ref'ing people's ip's for the purpose of flushing out the imposters, is a really good way to scare away the few newbies that may have even considered joining this site. Who wants to join a site only to be summarily investigated as to motive? Instead of this site growing and flourishing and becoming a valuable resource, it appears to be a one-stop debate shop and not much else (discounting the valuable advertising resource of course).

Hopefully someone can cross ref my ip and tell me if I'm a shill or not, there should be two showing, one from my blackberry and one from my desktop.

Also, anyone cataloguing ip's should be aware, that some addy's will show as same if they are coming from AOL, WebTv (now MSN TV). It is possible to have multiple people posting from the same proxy server. I'm sure that has been taking into consideration also during these "investigations"? Keep in mind also that some may post at home and at work. Toss all that together, and you can pretty much prove what what you seek to prove.
This is why I was always happy to be the 2nd smartest kid in the class, nothing to prove.

I would also proffer that this is about as close as you can get to creating a hostile environment for the average poster, who's not concerned with being board monitor or loses sleep watching the web 24/7 just in case something happens.

I have been trying to explain to someone, that it is almost impossible to imagine the situation, where the smallest thing you usually do for yourself, is not only not now, but all available evidence says, will never again be possible in your life, without help. I think this is akin to trying to imagine a life sentence. It is almost impossible, and I think if many could imagine it, especially after a few years of it, they would successfully avoid it.

That is why I am returning to posting here. I hope I will stay away, and be a more successful lurker, but nobody can predict the future. I want to let the mild cases know: I was considered (by my neurologist) to have a 'mild' case. I was able to walk, and drive, and play guitar, and unable (not surprisingly) to imagine not being able to. I was unable to imagine the key turning forever.

I just wanted to say, that knowing what I know now, I would jump at the chance for Liberation. 'Mild' or not. As I said, nobody can predict the future, but remember there are 150 years of experience with this disease. That is why I have always screamed at the notion of randomized placebo controlled testing. A friend of mine died of MS at 30, in 1972. We would like to pat ourselves on the back and say, we have made a lot of progress since then. But we know the probabilities of this disease. There was a reason, all those years ago, that they had corpses available to be examined. We know what will happen. We know what happens if this disease is untreated. Sometimes very quickly.

Now that there is a very good treatment available for less than your firstborn, take it. I don't have to tell the formerly mild cases. I don't have to tell the people dying of this disease. For them, the key has already been turned. We hope not forever, but if left untreated, there is little doubt what will happen. We have many cases to compare new treatments to, and none of them are alive today.

I also wanted to say something about reverse Robin Hood, and apathy. Apathy is good for reverse Robin. People can stand by, while government is sold off to the private sector, and they can do nothing, while Robin asks volunteers to please do more with less, to please take over those parts of government that can't turn a profit. Many of them will. I think that the inevitable end is full dependance on volunteers, and even then, if someone finds a way for reverse Robin to rob, he will. Leaving nothing even to keep the volunteer sector afloat.

The apathetic will meet the same fate, as those who care, but cannot change things. Only sooner. There is little doubt what reverse Robin, or the disease called 'MS', are up to.

I have been 'Liberated'. And I still can't walk, or drive, or play guitar. My piano playing is improving, though.
