Sorry if this has been posted before. I did a search and didn't find anything.

Page 20 has a breakdown for the 1700 subjects in the Buffalo study. Under the 900 Adult CDMS subjects, they have listed 500 RRMS, 300 SPMS, 50 PPMS and 50 NMO. What does NMO stand for?

Neuromyelitis optica which was thought as a very agressive type of MS until recently (2004) when they found that it s probably a disease with a different pathology (NMO IgG blood marker). Just google it.
In general i can tell you that it attacks the eyes and the spinal cord were lesions usually over three segment can be found.
