i have seen your new signature, mentioning your hunger strike. if you've already posted your reason i missed it. who/what are you striving to reach? fasting would be a difficult path for anyone. this makes me feel concerned for you, that you might weaken yourself unduly. this damned disease is hard enough to deal with. Please take good care of yourself.

I had venogram and angioplasty only 20 hrs ago.
After 5hrs balance 90% improved, and not having to touch anything as I walk. Not feeling tired, back ache gone, back of head & neck and across shoulders no longer sore. Warmer feet and hands.
20hrs after angioplasty am less stiff all over, can bend and pick things up feeling more flexible.
My right leg still doesn't bend at the knee properly, so walk is a bit lopsided & slow with right leg being a bit too straight.
It's early hours/days, so a bit of time may help - hope so

My right jugular had a 60% stenosis. All fixed, and am feeling a lot more relaxed, less sore all over
Get tested, if you have a problem with your veins - get it fixed!

No, the procedure is just gaining interest in Western Australia - where I come from - so I can't agree that ccsvi is losing steam

On the contrary, lot of things have happened in last 6 months. But importantly, research is going in the right direction.
1) small study to explain the reason for compromised filtering of BBB
2) study that shows that immune gene might not be the culprit
3) study that shows specific genes related to venous underdevelopment

I am sure many more are underway. Moving the research from immune path will not happen so early considering research life is generally 5-10 years, but will happen eventually.

Remember - radically new approaches take a lot of time to get acceptability. In fact, CCSVI has had a better run so far probably because its results are directly applicable to patients rather than just being in theory ...

no its picking up and moveing fast like a freight train
