Good for you quitting smoking. Long term studies show this will be good for slowing your MS progression, and can slow disability.

What's happening is not a bad thing, it's just a temporary part of nicotine withdrawal. Smoking kept your heart on an artificial high gear. When you smoked, the nicotine was making your blood vessels tighter, pumping blood from your heart to brain at a faster rate. Your arteries were tighter, your heart pumped harder, your blood pressure was higher. Now, your vessels are more relaxed, blood flow is moving slower. It will take a few weeks for your blood pressure to normalize. Position changes will heighten the dizziness. Take your time getting up from seated or lying down positions, (your heart is getting the blood to your brain more slowly) and make sure to drink lots of water, and exercise.
As Jimmy and anonymous have mentioned, you're getting more oxygen now, which is great! Promise, you will feel better. Hang in there!!!
