I have a full time job as a hospital librarian. In general I'm sleepy during the day because I am a night person. Sometimes fatigue hits hard and I take a nap right after work. I can socialize but I'm the kind of person who prefers to spend time alone anyway (writing, painting, running, animal cuddling). Even if I feel really tired I try to make an appearance now and then if invited, even if I don't stay too long - and I prefer to get a ride if I feel extra crummy. Betaseron gives me that flu-like feeling so sometimes I'm like, haha no I'm not socializing today. I guess since I prefer to be alone (or just around my spouse) I don't particularly care about a social life.
So I guess I'm extremely focused on my job. Job comes first. I get through my 8:30-4:30 and everything else is secondary. I do understand about being in bed all the time - I spent about a month just going to bed right after work. Not a way you want to live. I took a break from the Betaseron for a few months, got back on, and it's better now - just so you know, talk to your doctor before you do it. Oh - and I find exercise helped with the fatigue. I know it's hard to want to exercise at all if you just want to go to bed. But seriously, try taking a walk. I found taking a walk gave me the energy to get through the rest of the evening so I can actually DO stuff besides sleep.

I was diagnosed in 2007 with RRMS. I've dealt with fatigue my whole life but it has reached whole new levels because of the MS itself. I've been on three medications and two of them have some sort of fatigue effect after infusion.
I have MS issues that are as bad as double vision and leg weakness but I think fatigue has by far been the most debilitating. I don't have a job, when I did, I often struggled with the fatigue in the office. I do help co-run a dog rescue as a volunteer though.
What I can tell you is that I recently found a supplement product that has so positively changed my energy levels that I consider it life-changing! I have never been someone who could handle much exercise or keep motivated enough to do anything on a regular basis. Over the last several years I have been too tired to play with my toddler and I've felt a lot of guilt over that. This supplement has made such a huge difference in such a short time (saw major changes after several days) that I not only play with my daughter out in the hot sun now, but I also am exercising on a regular basis! The supplement has also helped some with mental clarity and some digestive issues.
I've always heard that a healthy diet and supplements could help but I've never been able to find anything that made a major difference or made me motivated enough to get over my picky taste buds. Now all the claims make sense to me
