If anyone should apologise, for anything, it is Blossom.

References to "so-called MS" are insulting to the millions of people on this world with MS.
References to "so-called MS" are insulting to the hundreds of thousands of medical professionals and researchers who try to find a cure and who strive to alleviate the symptoms of MS.
So, let's hear it from Blossom.

And, by the way "HappyPoet", I am not "an alleged man of science". I really do have a scientific background (and my highest degree IS a Doctorate).

I have no intention of descending to your level of debate.
What I will do is to ask "MODERATORS, PLEASE REVIEW THIS ENTIRE THREAD".

Geoff

G,

Many members here at TiMS put the initials MS in quotes like this, "MS," or use the phrasing, "so-called MS," to signify that we don't believe we have the UNPROVEN autoimmune theory kind of "MS" that big pharma wants us to believe we have because of their greedy, profit-driven motives.

Seems like you won't be very happy here with so many people putting forth their own ideas and hypotheses about what is causing/helping/curing their "MS," such as CCSVI, CCVBP, AO chiro, Atlas-balance dentistry, IBT, cheer's Endothelial Health Program, CPn antibiotic therapy, EBV antivirals, insulin (dys)regulation, Vit D supplementation, medical marijuana (I bet you're just gonna love this thread: http://www.thisisms.com/forum/general-d ... 21334.html ), diets, light therapy, etc., etc., etc.

If you want to read en masse from pw"MS" satisfied with their DMD, you might want to join an "MS" forum hosted by one of the DMD big-pharma manufacturers, but in case you don't already know, there are all sorts of drawbacks at those sites which limit honest and open scientific discourse.

Some examples of such drawbacks are: posts that must be approved by moderators before being published, heavy-handed censoring of posts, no links being allowed in posts, biased moderating of posts, and copious amounts of DMD advertising throughout the sites. TiMS has none of those drawbacks, as you may already know. If you like it here, please be respectful here.

Also, among other baseless, ridiculous comments you've spouted in your posts, there's absolutely no way you can prove that you speak for "millions" of patients and researchers being "insulted" and by you saying so, you're showing your complete lack of credibility which leads me to believe you're forgetting your training in statistics and proper research methods, assuming you've even had such training (I haven't seen any evidence of it yet).

I didn't expect you to apologize because those with your negative and holier-than-thou attitude are all too predictable and seem to have an agenda that is often pro big-pharma and anti anything else.

Why, you rudely never even bothered to thank me nor cheer after we kindly welcomed you to TiMS and gave you answers to your questions, "What causes anyone to get MS? What can be done to moderate it?" You showed absolutely no interest in engaging in an intellectual discussion with us: http://www.thisisms.com/forum/general-d ... 22771.html

If you quit acting so superior and meanspirited, perhaps people will converse with you, but attacking our beloved blossom will not earn you any friends here.

I do hope you start feeling better soon--you just might find that having an open mind and being nice to people will benefit you (less stress would be a good start).

Edits: a few.

well dr. goof, you are hearing from blossom-first if you are waiting for an apology from me i kinda hope you are holding your breath. and, by the way as far as a level of debate about your original comments that got us on this path that brought more of the mr. filthy mcnasty out in you--"you would loose". i may not have a doctorate from a paid for education, but i do have a doctorate that has stood the test of time.--"common sence," and any education anyone gets that looses sight of that and follows the mind set that most science does-" but not all" eventually cause a real mess--such as the world we are living in that our water is ruined because the science created drugs that eventually are flushed down the toilet by our human consumption that inevitably ends up back in some sources of our drinking water "they may take out the bacteria etc. by adding chlorine "another poison" but all this other crap such as medicines, pesticides, nuclear waste, chemicals we don't even have a clue about --all this created by some sort of science--and put out there with no "common sence" or thought given as to "duhh we got a polluted dieing ocean and we got a few nuclear reators going wild" but, duhh, we didn't think about how to safely dispose of or fix this if this should happen." a day late and a dollar short on that. -- i won't get started on what science is doing to our food supplies with all this genetic enginering etc. the advertisement on tv right now about the drug given to kids for attention deficit whatever that now some boys are growing breasts--now that's just lovely "those poor kids and their parents" and your science has shown that exposure to certain things will be passed on to future generations.

regardless, good science or bad science we all have our opinions. if there is a theory that is presented and we want to partake so be it-if not move on. no need to badger, make fun of or put down.

remember the science at the time of columbus the thought or theory was that the world was flat.

i do thank you HAPPY POET for defending me and that i know you and others have "common sence" and respect.

with those thoughts i'm moving on. i've learned in some instances "YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID AND THERE'S NO EXPERATION ON STUPID" no matter how educated some can be.
