I think the suggestion was that current threads on general topics might be combined to make it easier to reference them. The problem with bumping an extremely old personal experience thread (which happens often ) is that the circumstances have invariably changed, along with the research/references. Often new posters put a lot of effort into their replies (like I just did) to find solutions to the original poster's question. And quite often, many of the previous posters on resurrected threads haven't visited TIMS for months/years.

Of course, I always feel like I'm the only one who actually pays attention to the posting dates anyway. Sorry I missed it this time.
