Boy I think Greece must be on my list to visit - isn't it stunning?
And Jack - your pic is gorgeous - how did you get Venus - was it a very fancy camera? Also agree with Nenu - you have a lovely warm face, very friendly and calming! Nice to see the guy who enjoyed the Rooibos!
Also agree with AC - it is so great to see pics of everyone and their homelands - I have been to the States a few times, but only LA, New Orleans (before Katrina), New York, and Houston! There is a lot more to see....
Wow!

Thank you Nenu and Ally.
Photography is one of my hobbies. I shot that picture in the winter of 2000-2001 using an old Nikon F3 and Fuji color film. Venus is really bright when it is in the early morning sky like it was that day. I'v switched to digital now though and normally use a Nikon D70s.
Here is a couple more pictures. One of me pursuing that hobby (no beard, which is how I look most of the time it had just been kinda hard to shave right after the flareup) and one of what I was shooting.
I'd love to see more pics from everyone.

This is Blue-eyed Grass. It's a very common wildflower here in the SE US. It's actually a member of the iris family and not really a grass.

As an old "Midwestern farm-girl," I especially liked the blue-eyed grass; we must not be able to grow it here--I never saw it before, but how lovely!!
Thank you for expanding my horizon.

Hey Jack
I also kinda liked the beard, though I am not usually too fond of them generally - maybe it is just because we could see your face more clearly in the beard pic! The blue grass is real pretty - I shall try to post a pic of some of our flora (I also like photography, but just to dabble) at the end of this post.
Shannon - your boy is beautiful, you must be so proud of him - it is thrilling, amazing, and a little bewildering to see them grow - my youngest just had his 5th birthday too, and my eldest had his 7th just the other day!

Great b-day pics Artifishual. Being a geologist I really like the Jurassic Park theme with the dinosaurs and volcano. Good job on the healthy snacks also.
Nenu and Ally, thanks for the kind words. I shaved the beard the first day of spring, to hot when it gets warm but it will be back this fall.
Ally, your pics are great, please post more. SA looks like a very beautiful place.
Here are a couple more from my backyard.
Native azalea, smells so sweet it scents the whole back yard.

Barred Owl flying through my yard.
Keep sendin' pics.

I don't blame you. Last thing you want in the summer is something to contribute to the heat around you ;)

OK,
I posted this once before, but I can never find the thread because I dind't post it here. So I found my photobucket password and am putting this PIC in the PIC thread! More to come soon.

[/img]. I need to remember to bring my camera home from work occasionally. It's going in my car the second I'm done with it now that I have my brand new VIP (as I like to call it) parking right outside my office. I was walking about 200 yards from the car to the office and got sick of wanting to go home right after I got there

Ally,
Great pics! Birds are really my first hobby, ever since I was a kid, but I really like the zebra picture. He looks like he could talk.
Here are some pics of birds that hang out in my back yard.

Carolina Wren
[/img]

Blue Jay

male Red-bellied Woodpecker
[/img]

male Cardinal - you have Bishops, we have Cardinals. Mourning Dove in the lower left corner.

Robin - mommy feeding her baby an earthworm
and finally

[/img]Passion Flower - named by the Spanish Explorers of Florida in the 1500's for the five stations of the cross. One of my favorite wildflowers here in the Southeast.
I have always found the natural world to be an escape from my troubles. Being able to sit in my back yard and see such beautiful birds and flowers takes my mind off MS. Get out and enjoy the world around you! It's not that far away.

Nenu,
I also like that picture of you. I hope you are as happy now as you look in that picture.
