I am going to be there June 7.
Anyone have advice to use my scooter, or have them take me in a wheelchair? Here in the US, you can ride yourself to the plane, and they load the scooter at the gate with the strollers. Then, when you land, it's waiting at the gate. I'm not sure how they would handle internationally. I'm going either Air France or Lufthansa.

From my husband's last experience landing in Paris, I would suggest taking LH. There was no organization for him being met with a wheelchair and it was a long walk, with a bus ride from the plane, ugh.

Question for those whom have been to Sofia already? Is bringing Euro's sufficient or do you recommend both Euro and Bulgarian Lev currency? I was just going to get Euro's but thought I better check with some of you to get your suggestions?
thanks

EURO is sufficient. There is Tokuda bank inside hospital so if you need some LEV (snack, water, meals) you can easy change EUR to LEV (1 EUR is 2 LEV).

hi ven
re Detralex - it should be written on your epicrisis that they give to you before leaving Tokuda. I take it twice per day for 6 months
On MINE it looks like this
Plavix 75 mg / дневно за 3 месеца.
Аspirin 100 mg / дневно за 6 месеца
Daflon 2 х 1 за 6 месеца
Plavix 75mg daily for 3 months
Aspirin 100mg daily for 6 months
Daflon (Detralex) 1 tablet, twice per day, for 6 months
Check yours carefully though as I don't know whether we all get prescribed the same thing

Tokuda hospital? where is that?
We have been offered a space in July by Dr Petrov.
Bit nervous as we don't know what to expect..it might be nothing, it might be something..
Also, to the guys who have already been, how was the healthcare teams english or french? What if we cannot communicate?!!
metal implant

Hello, I was told by a European hospital that any metal implant in the body may interfere with the MRI or it could be even dangerous. I would like to ask those who have been already there to give us some information about this issue.
I do have a permanent dental bridge, and I guess there is metal in it (I will have to check with my dentist) and am wondering if this would be a major obstacle for me going through the tests. Thanks.
