WonderfulWorld.. (I like your name) It is so constructive and heartening to read other's experiences on this site.. how many symptoms, like the transitory numbness, do we all share only to have our doctors choose to ignore?.. for example ..my symptioms are without a doubt directly tied to barometric swings... this too was ignored with a 'pat on the head'.. I did some research.. i could find no connection between the CNS and air pressure.. post CCSVI awareness..same research tied to circulation.. voila!! .. the connection is clear!
I am ...a person living with CCSVI... !!
Pcakes Welcome on board the IBT trial and thanks for posting your report.
Please begin a new topic for your tracking journal on my new forum. K.C. is the latest to post her tracking journal. Makes interesting reading and helps enormously with following progress.

Hi Barbara, thanks for the update and sorry about the nag for everyone to post a tracking journal but it is essential for moving this theory forward and I had hoped for everyone here to post a journal on the new forum.

For mine you still need to wait a bit...as I did not feel big improvements yet. But I'm still monitoring and my bed remains inclined. Who knows...maybe the improvements are so light and slow that I can only tell after a longer period.
Sorry to post this, but I guess you want a full picture report from all? And update will follow...

Hi Steffi
We do need to understand why some improve quicker than others so your input is as valuable as someone who is experiencing huge improvements using I.T.

Spent a couple of days cleaning up the archive, removing duplicate posts etc. Now closed the Inclined_To_Sleep_Inclined google group that provided a safe storage area and a rather complicated means of reading the posts. Somehow it multi...pled each post 5 times?
Anyway. We have a much easier to read thread now.
Need more people to post a tracking Journal on the new forum. So if your using Inclined Therapy get your backside over to the new forum and post a journal using the examples from KC and Algis who have already added theirs.

Just a suggestion: look in your junkmail / deleted folder. Many mail clients think of registration as an unsollicited mail.

Hi Andrew,
I have been having a lot of problems with my (dodgy) back and have been for the past few days trying to make sense of it.
I started IBT 6 weeks ago at 4.75" and was doing ok - back quite delicate, but that has always been a problem for me. In the last couple of weeks after I had raised my bed to full height, my back was really getting much worse, back spasms (electrical) which I was counting at every 11 seconds! Obviously I was not sleeping at all, my back felt like it was breaking in half, but scarier than that, on rising I found that my legs would collapse under me, making it impossible for me to get up again and into my wheelchair without help.
I reluctantly decided to drop back down to 4.75 a couple of nights ago, and only a slight improvement, leading me to thinking that the incline has nothing at all to do with it - it is just my difficult back and maybe I am dealing with an acute back problem that needs to significantly improve before I can move on. I have had the odd fall of late, maybe I have put something out?Timing couldn't be worse
Anyway, just wanted you to know what is going on (albeit confusing to me) and tell you that I shall leave my bed at 4.75 now until matters resolve substantially, and then I shall be more than pleased to complete my 'tracking' for you on your site - I am determined to be a success story.
Kind regards
Elaine

hi andrew, ive been using dehumidifier for a week, i havnt found any difference for me. the good thing ive found is by putting it in bathroom while i shower, i feel much better when i get out. my problems seem to be more with atmospheric pressure, when it cloudy im much worse.

Interesting experiment re showering and uing dehumidifier

The fact that it makes you feel better provides us with insight into why a shower / hot bath can trigger ms relapses.
Stay with the dehumidifier running at night while sleeping. If it is quiet, consider having it running in the bedroom with door closed on a lower setting.

Hi Andrew,
Here what I discovered: I am just in Brussels where my bed is not inclined and felt much worse with my hand and feet feeling so heavy/even painful that woke up at 5:00 and had to continue sleeping in lifted position by pillows this morning!
Seems my body got so used to IBT that I did not notice the difference - the improved feeling in feet and hands seems to have been slow so could not perceive the difference from one day to other.
It's not that my symptoms are gone with IBT, but seems they are now definitely WORSE without... Oh and where do I now get some 15 cm wooden blocks to incline my bed for tonight ???
Can we maybe get the Qubus hotel in Katowice to offer them upon request please? As they are part of the CCSVI intervention package, I guess they could do so.

Back to flat from Inclined Therapy

Hi Steffi
Thanks for posting this. It is always very useful when someone reports the differences after reverting back to flat. Please compile a journal with this in it as it shows clearly how subtle changes taken for granted are suddenly realised on sleeping flat.
This is why, in all 3 studies, I have asked people to revert back to flat and report changes.
A large chemist may stock plastic furniture risers. You could ask for quite a few extra blankets and make a wedge under the mattress.
My wife and I have lifted the head end of the bed up and placed it on a bedside cabinet with a folded newspaper to prevent scratches.

hi Andrew,
Am now a little over 2 months inclined and have seen improvements from the start; however over the past week or two I've had more fatigue and brain fog. And for the past 3-4 days I've had aches and pains in my upper back and neck. I wondered if anyone else had reported this after starting off so well.

Hi Andrew
this is my fifth week of IBT. It seems to take me two weeks to make any improvementS. We went from 4 inches to 7, 4 weeks ago. We travelled in between and I spent four days on a flatbed two weeks ago. My improvements are wonderful today and I feel great. I finally figure out how to post on your website also.
To date:
-breathing deeper
-sounder sleep
-getting up earlier, and liking it
-feet are warmer-and less purple -actually from the waist down
-vivid dreams
-I feel clearer in the head today
-I don't get up to go to the bathroom during the night
-my bladder seems better
use changes were coming about before I went away, but returned after my four day flat bed ordeal, now two weeks later good things are happening again. We're not going the way for three months so hopefully a flatbed experience won't bother me as much.
Cheers
