Hey Devine how are you doing are you still on your back being hekd down by a large weight?

I have been hunting for the info I had read about stents on this forum but for some reason couldnt find the one I was looking for but there is info if you look back on 10th March, 11,27,28 April. Have a read its a mixed bag. The doc will be able to advise you best though I'm sure and by what Ive read they re a great group of physicians.

Good luck! Let us know what happens!

Good morning to all.. Had my doppler done this morning to be confirmed that my right vien is flowing just right and the left one to... but there is always room for improvement.. I`ve decided to make a decision 2nd time around.. Look more into this and then decide if I have to do it again then I will go for the stents.. next appointment they said should be in the next 3-6 months.. Koko I`m up now and running my marathon.. not tied to any bed.. and enjoying the heated toilet seats once again... something to look forward to..

Happy to know I`m not the only cry baby.. it`s sooooo emotional and unbelievable.. still can`t believe I did it ! still so many emotions that goes threw us.. I`m happy and not ready yet to say that I notice any drastic changes but to begin with I don`t have drastic changes that are obvious to change to the public eye.. They rate your edss and I only ranked maybe 2 or 3 being that 0 is nothing to change and 10 is really bad... So it was a rush before any drastic damage were to happen. Hope all goes well with you and I will be looking for your updates once you get it done...
The Dr really knows what he`s doing and we are in good hands.. There are other things that might need change but thats more on a personal level as per the hospital food.. I think everything they offer here has cheese in it at the cafeteria.. so if your like me and don`t like cheese.. the only thing I`m living off right now is chocolate bars and nuts... and at night time.. it`s wierd how there is a forest right by and there wild dogs there that don`t stop barking.. but it only seems when your trying to fall asleep that`s when they bark.. but like I said those are small little personal things and doesn`t compare to the getting the operation done...

haha! I'm the opposite. I really liked the food, but then I'm a vegan so I didn't get cheese on anything :) And of course, being a vegan I liked the dogs too.

Devine, glad to hear you're now up and about. Will look forward to reading all about your improvements! Nearly 4 weeks out for me now and I'm heading in the right direction still, but it's sloooooooow and I'm not patient, but at least the improvements are there so that's the main thing.

Koko, being back at work isn't easy. Could've done with more time off/working part-time for a while. Unfortunately though I need the squids - to pay for my next visit to Bulgaria! Mind you, thinking back to before the procedure going to work was becoming a living nightmare!

Hi, i have ppms and I am from around the Toronto Canada Area. I have an appt in Bulgaria July 8, Im scared to death but excited. Does anyone have any pointers for when I go? I read about the electrical conversion, but someone said you have to rent the towels etc. Is there a store to buy a razor and shampoo etc in the hospital. Also my wife Terry and I are staying at the hostel at the hospital and it says private bath in hall, does that mean other people share it. Also I heard tipping is expected and how many Euros is a good tip? Any little thing like this would help. We are flying Austrian airlines to vienna and then over to Sofia. We would like to take a couple tours after from GeyaTours. Any suggestions and pointers.

Thanks all
Bill

We didn't have to rent the towels, but we had to pay for toilet paper. 8O
The hostel is a part of the hospital, it is hospital rooms, that they charge you to use. On that corridor there is housekeeping, a lovely lady, always smiling, didn't speak a word of english, but very freindly. she sells shampoo, showergel, toothpaste and a rasor, and toiletpaper. she is there most of the day, I was always thinking she works long hours, was ther when I got up, and was there untill probably 6 at night, maybe even 8.

she cleaned our rooms, and got us new towels, and we asked her about laundry, she gave them back ironed, when we paied a bit extra. she was in now way greedy. 3 or 4 lev for a couple of bags of washing. that is 1-2 euros. the littel bits and bobs she was selling were reasonable priced as well.

there is a pertolstation just down the path by the hospital they had a few essentials as well, and were open until late at night. probably 24 hours. vafe in hospital closes at 9 pm.

Can you lock the door if you leave your luggage and paperwork behind in the room?

Thank you Colapesce for the encouraging words.. I`m happy to hear that it does take awhile before you start seeing results.. in some of the blogs it sounds like once the operation is done you see the result right away... so it encouraging to know that it will come.. Finally got to sleep last night a whole night as these last couple of nights I was going off on maybe 4 hrs sleep with all the adrenaline and was sleeping with the window open so hearing the dogs bark.. there beautiful don`t get me wrong but the barking was keeping me awake.. I know there are other people here who are not vegetarians and are enjoying the food.. just because I don`t really care for it doesn`t mean you won`t so don`t be at all worried.. they offer alot of good stuff it all a matter of taste. don`t want to sound negative at all and don`t want to take away from the procedure itself since it is amazing to be able to get the chance in a life time of getting cured.. Will post once I start seeing differences.

How long are you guys staying there from the date of hospitalization?
I'm not sure but I may have made our stay too short as my wifes day of hospitalization is the 22'nd and I have us flying out early on the 25'th. I went with what Geya tours said is typical but that only leaves 1 day for recovery before leaving. Is it worth trying to reschedule our flights for?
