Thanks CN. I was referring to Hippocrates.

Hang in there Colapesce. You showed significant changes following your first adjustment. Muscles and connective tissues have to acclimate to the new position. Enjoy your chocolate cake and custard.

Dr. Flanagan,

Thank you for your input and encouragement too.

I hope the adjustments work before my insurance cuts out. Dr. Bender said it takes up to 6 months to see positive results, so I am forewarned, but naturally impatient.

I'm just curious, has anybody else on TIMS seeing a UCC Dr had to go through retracing? Or am I the only lucky one on here? Unfortunetly I haven't been able to go see my UCC Dr because I live 100 miles from him and I can't drive anymore so I can't get better right now.

Hello Civickiller,
Colapesce is feeling uncomfortable after her first adjustment which made significant changes. Many patients go through ups and downs, especially during the early stages of care but there should be steady progress. Progress should be measured over longer periods such as monthly.
How many times have you seen the doctor at this point?

12 times so far, once per week except for the past 3 weeks

Thank you Costumenastional but you're giving me too much credit. You had the courage and strength to continue looking for answers. All I've done is to remove the interference when it's present and your body has done the rest.

Civickiller,
Upper cervical care does not work for everyone. Nonetheless, my guess is that you are not yet holding your adjustments well enough yet to skip three weeks. If you like I would be happy to take a look at your x-rays.

hi doc,

2008 i was diaganosed with chiari 1 malfromation, 8mm.
As far as the NL are concerned this condition is not causing my problems, they have been questioning MS since then with no label,
I also have had a 4.1cm arachnoid cyst compressing my spinal cord in T7-T9, this was removed late 08, i now have my second cyst in T6-T9,

i was wondering if there was a link to these conditions, there is no family history apart from motor neuron diease.
the docs are also thinking im having TIAs,
im on alot of pain relief and am getting very upsett, and becoming to wonder what the point of it all is, all im wanting is answers, and no ones listening,

it would be great for any input you might have.

thankyou

Hello Neava,
Except for pain I don't know what your other problems are but Chiari malformations can cause many types of problems. They can also cause TIAs by compressing the vertebral-basilar arteries. Chiari malformations are also associated with scoliosis and tethered cord syndromes. The fact that you have a Chiari 1 and arachnoid cysts at T6-T9 area makes me suspect you may have a scoliosis. Abnormal curvatures such as scoliosis and kyphosis affect CSF flow in the subarachnoid space.

Great news, Dr. Flanagan!

Dr. Diana Driscoll, a big fan of yours, is now a member of TIMS, and her user name is DrDiana.

Would you like to join us in welcoming her? She started posting yesterday on the thread the Eye Doc blog which was started by Cece a couple months ago.

:)
