People who are reading this, who don't have CCSVI or MS:
In the past few months, or maybe even longer, doctors caring for a number of MS/CCSVI patients have suddenly turned around and withdrawn offers of surgical intervention, sometimes for unknown reasons.
I am not a lawyer. I am writing on my own behalf, without any prompting or help.
You may be a doctor, nurse, clerk, secretary, lab worker, or other person, who has received or seen 'orders', recommendations, or persuasion of some kind that is in writing or signed printing, on paper, e-mail or a personal electronic message.
Surgeons do not make offers of assistance lightly. There have been too many offers made, and then suddenly withdrawn, to believe there is any coincidence or randomness involved. I believe that some very powerful persuader or group, who may prefer not to be identified publicly, is at work here. I especially appeal to you if you think this has been done for the wrong reasons (lawyers threats, territory, research, commercial, bureaucracy, etc.).
I urge you to make a photocopy or electronic copy immediately, of this evidence, and send it to me. Use the personal message (PM) facility of this forum to contact me, and I will give you my address. My This Is MS Forum nickname is: 1eye
Although I am in Ontario, Canada, every time a surgeon in my country or the US, is made, told, persuaded, or coerced, to stop offering this surgery, it diminishes my freedom to have it performed, and my freedom to choose who I would like to have it performed by.
It also diminishes my freedom to have it done in a country of my own choosing.
Whoever is doing this is contributing to the harm of many people. Doctors may dispute that, but they are wrong, and many experts agree. If doctors are voluntarily canceling they are violating their Hippocratic oaths. IRBs have been blamed. Whoever is to blame for this foot-dragging, they are responsible for unethical, harmful behavior, which may even cause death.
It is of vital, life-or-death importance, since MS may kill, at any time. 'Live free or die' may be impossible, unless I want to go to another country to live free. Somebody's lawyers are making sure of that.
We need this evidence. If you have knowledge of it, or if you were affected by it, having an appointment that was canceled, if you have written evidence of that, it could be useful. Your GP's written request or referral, or your own dated notes could help. Reasons given, as well, might be of interest.
If anyone has any evidence of an exacerbation or disease progression that has occurred in this calendar year, please inform me. In order to get clinical evidence of such an occurrence it may be necessary to request it from that doctor, or file a freedom-of-information request. If you need help with this, let me know.
I am especially interested to know if anyone has written evidence of a legal threat with reasons given.
I will notify by this forum (without naming anyone or giving other details) any time I receive information of this kind.
