Dr. Mark Freedman feels like the public is against him...poor baby! And he got a hug from a patient, awww!

This piece of #$% is the worst doctor in the history of medicine. I hope he chokes on this own greed. He is the most satanical piece of garbage that roams the Ottawa Hospital.

He has caused SEVERE DEPRESSION in MANY MS patients because of his egotistical views and Nazi-like bed manner.

I would not know. I never had the pleasure of meeting him. I am glad you made the "other side" statment though. I have been arguing since this forum started that the main reason for all the animosity on this forum is because of the "us against them menatlity". It is kind of ironic that the "black and white" thinking you so hate certain neuros and doctors for is exactly the same way of thinking you have but since your side is on the "good" side I guess it is than ok.

The day I was diagnosed with MS, by Dr. Freedman, he asked me if I would like to participate in one of his studies. He then was joking and laughing with the nurse and said to me, "I don't want you to feel like a guinea pig, although you kind of will be".

Now you tell me, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL???? Right in the medical room, I have just been told I have MS, and he is laughing his $%^#ing head off!!

This is no anti-establishment attitude, it is the TRUTH!

I was pretty much diagnosed before I ever met the good Doctor. However I seem to remember being offered guinea-pigdom fairly early on as well.

I never minded his attitude then. I certainly did the first time I sent him Prof. Haacke's information, hoping (really) to have him put my MRIs into his collection. I have to thank Dr. Freedman, though, in retrospect, for his reply. His response was obviously so off-the-cuff and thoughtless, I said, hey, there might be something TO this...

Although I may not go as far as hargarah, I too had Dr Freedman as my Neuro. At that point I was SPMS. The first time I saw him I was exhausted since their parking system are not meant for people like us. I had to park on the fifth level and had to descend by stairs (elevator was not working) to the ground level and walk the remaining 300 ft or so to the elevators on the sixth level where his reception is. In a word he felt like an empathyless person. He asked me to walk in the corridor to see my gait where he immediatly told me that I had to take a new driving test. My explaining of the difficult and exhausting time to get to his office was not his concern. Later it cost me $1000.00 to show them I was still able to drive where I received my license 8 months later. I live in the country where a car is a necessity.I'll quit my ranting at that as the rest of the story dealing with him was a disaster so I fired him.
IMO he should be left alone in a research lab out of touch with any patients. As of now I feel exactly like hargarah with his exact words against our goverment for not allowing us to pursue our own destiny with the treatment we prefer. The gov. it seems are in their labs out of touch with any of their patients.

I am glad you made the "other side" statement though. I have been arguing since this forum started that the main reason for all the animosity on this forum is because of the "us against them mentality".

This forum, though it might have some role in the long run, does not compare to the power of a doctor spreading disinformation among patients and other doctors. The saving grace is that some of us are not as stupid as believing would require.

The us vs. them mentality was the first thing I noticed about Dr. Freedman's attitude toward CCSVI theory. In real life there has been a definite 'them' doing everything possible to stop progress of the Liberation treatment.

When you think about it, the clearest sign of the existence of a 'them' is the overemphasis, repetition, gossip, innuendo, and morphing of the two unfortunate stories from Dr. Dake's early work in Liberations. These things have not happened in private one-to-one conversations. They have happened in the press, radio, TV, the Internet, and Hansard (the record of the Parliament of Canada). Proponents of the CCSVI theory have had a tough time keeping up. Definitely a them. Definitely an us. Don't worry about TiMS. I think there have been more listeners, readers, watchers, in the 'mainstream' media than here.
