have been taking 1.5 mg LDN since Sep 15, 2010 and am now experiencing a burst of fairly intense body heat, starting in area of pancreas and liver, abaout an hour after taking it. Heat spreads to head.
subsides fairly quickly.
NOt sure if this is good or bad symptom, or if to continue with the LDN.
No other bad side effects that I yet notice. 1st weeks did have interrupted sleep, now just seem to need less sleep.
No other positive effects yet obvious.
I do have severe allergies to foods (and other), and decided to take the LDN because of the positve results with Crohn"s disease and celiacs--my problems are similar to what these diseases produce. So am hoping the heat is just the activation of the immune system in body areas affected by these diseases.

Anyone else have this happening? Any advice?

Shye, I have been on LDN for 7 yrs and have never felt what you describe nor do I recall anyone posting this side effect the first few years LDNers were passing info on Yahoo site.
What filler do you get with the LDN, Lactose? Acidophilus? Maybe the filler is causing a reaction. Call the pharmacist. I get mine from Irmat inNYC, they are very helpful .

Patients who are exposed to undue fatigue, heat, or a febrile illness may demonstrate a recurrence of prior symptoms, stemming from an area of old neurologic involvement. These areas tend to have increased irritability of nervous tissue surrounding old healed MS scars ("plaques"). Such an episode may be very transient and may not represent a true relapse.
