Post by harry1 »

I just recieved this 3 mitute/30 second video from a friend as Honda has created a new mobility scooter that is very state of the art as it's good to see technology move forward especially for us with paralyzed limbs.

Yes, I saw that, but my husband is concerned that he would fall right off it, or that his feet would make contact with the floor. I wonder if they could add a few features for very unstable people who can't easily lift their feet.

Oh yeah i can understand the concern as i just wanted to post this not because of this product specifically but just that it's good to see technology move forward on these type of mobility products for those of us who are paralyzed in our lower limbs as are my feet and ankles as i've have CIDP (autoimmune neuropathy). I wish we had something similar to a segway that you could sit down on safely as that would be great to get around in :D

Best wishes !!

There are Segway with seats ( http://tinyurl.com/482y6md ) but it still like a bicycle... Pretty expensive bicycle... And for those of us who also have trunk/legs weakness it won't do.

Yes, it so sad that the price of a Segway is so expensive...like that wheelchair the same guy invented for the disabled; how many disabled people have that kind of money??
