thank you for starting this thread...

this is my favorite discussions :D

when I was a fellow, the tech's had a list of the rules of being an IR. I'll regurgitate some them later. the pearl below is from one of my staff when i was training. i still have to relearn this the hard way once in awhile


9. Never force a medical device.

i am sure Sal must have a few pearls.

Well, David, I guess ours would be on a list of the "Top 10 Things You Do NOT Want to Hear from an IR" (or any kind of doctor), but...

This is a direct quote from the Almost-a-Neuro guy who did my LP at a university teaching hospital, who said, "Oh, s**t!" just as he was jamming the needle into my spine. There was a stern looking gentleman with a clipboard looking over his shoulder at the time. I've always wondered what he wrote on it.

This is a completely true story. :)
