UPDATE ON OPEN IJV RECON.- NO MOUNTAIN TOO BIG TO CLIMB

Post by deirdrec »

I have been trying to keep all people up to date as I am able to achieve more and more post open internal jugular vein reconstruction. On August 10th, 2012 I was able to undertake (me) driving a vechile back from Vancouver BC to Edmonton Alberta. This is about a 13 hour drive through the Rocky Mountains. In the past driving even within my own home town was not the greatest. Not only did I have the ability and confidence to drive but also the energy to do this. This was a first for me as I have never done mountain driving. My son sat shotgun and said how impressed with my quick reactions while driving. Yes after finishing the drive I was truly tired but satisfied as before I would never have dreamed of taking on such a task. Thank you to Dr. H and his team for giving me yet another opportunity.
