Yes, I was looking at the protocol and was wondering how that works with your current neurologist? I am reading from others that their neurologist says they don't have to take a drug, but then others post that no drug, no neuro! So, where does that leave us? Does anyone have a neuro that gives you the choice of drug or no drug and still be your neurologist?! It's crazy that no US neurologists follow the protocol, but it's just like the drugs for cancer! It's all about the pharmaceuticals and their damn money!!!

There is a wealth of information as well as a book on the Dr Coimbra protocol. Currently, there are no neuros in the US who will work with this protocol (there are over 30 in South America and Europe). However, there are two docs in Florida who are Dr Coimbra trained, and are prescribing the protocol. Also Dr Michael Holick at Boston Medical Center, the world's leading authority on vitamin D, has consulted with Dr Coimbra and will help MS patients get on a modified version of the protocol. Another option is to convince your primary care doctor to work with you on this.

Thank you so much for the info.!! Good to know!! I wonder what the modified version would entail? I remember my PCP said that he would support whatever my neuro does, so if she doesn't support it, then I'm thinking that he won't but it is always worth a try! If you, as a patient, decide not to take any of the drugs, can they or do they stop being your doctor? Then what?

Does anyone know about doing heavy metal cleanses for MS? Also, what about getting mercury fillings taken out? I still have 4 mercury fillings.
