Question to those with confirmed ms.... negative tests??

Hey, I'm just trying to find some info on this... I know 5% of people who have ms have a negative mri, but I just wanted a little more info...

Are there any of you whose first tests were negative?

I've had an mri brain(one lesion probably age related) and cervical spine (normal). And just had a emg of my arm and that was normal. All blood tests have been normal as well. I've finally found a great doctor, who is trying me on gabipentin(sp?) right now. But was just wondering if anyone one else had all these as negative at the beginning?

If anyone wants to know,
(A few of my symptoms are; short term memory, speech and writing problems, foot buzzing, hand and leg shaking after holding something for a shot time, dropping things, fatigue, feeling of leg weakness, and twitching.)

P.s. I don't want to hear about vitamins and supplements, I've researched this and talked to my neuro. Thanks.

Ignore this if you like but that sounds exactly like what I felt when I became iron/ferritin deficient...and nothing like I've felt from just ms.

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure that's been checked. :-)

Chill out honey

certainly, MRI/CSF/SSEPs/VEPs/BAERs are not 100% accurate, but it's better to have non-specific unexplained symptoms than multiple sclerosis.

Doctors cannot explain every symptom you have. They are not gods.

My advice:

1) keep a healthy diet
2) exercise regularly
3) get a good night's sleep
4) avoid illicit drugs
5) Don't spend to much time in doctors' offices
6) Enjoy life
