Hi,I have been suffering just at night with terrible leg cramps/spasms which sometimes are so bad at night that I can't sleep,
Is there any natural product which anybody finds helps with leg cramps?
It would be great to get a good night sleep!
thanks Sue

Try CBD oil, which is an extract of hemp, and pefectly legal. It is VERY expensive, but has helped my wife's leg pains and tinlges. Another thing to look at is magnesium (which is supposed to help muscle cramps) - either oil to rub on, or as a supplement.

I used to get leg and foot cramps at night. I switched my regimen around so that I now take my magnesium in the morning and vitamin D3 at night instead of taking both together in the evening. This has eliminated 99% of my leg cramps though sometimes I still get some spasticity acting up.

I take Magnesium.

I find that a natural product called "Valerin" (Valerin Root) from Wonder Laboratories helps with leg cramps and especially muscle spasms & twitches.

Hi,
I do the liquid cannabis capsules and ALL spasms are gone...I would wake up with excruciating leg pain/spasms, after taking med's, no spasms. I hope you can get some.

Thanks for all the advice,I do take magnesium 400mg per day is that enough? in the morning, I also take vit D 1,000 IU is that enough? Do you take it even in summer? I live in France so don't think cannabis capsules are legal yet should be this year but knowing France could take years! IS the CBD oil just hemp oil?
Thanks again Sue

Yes, CBD is one of the cannabinoid's from the hemp plant. There are several known cannabinoids that help people. It's the THC cannabinoid that can get you 'high' ..... But, it's more than CBD that is helping me and others, it's cannabinoids from BOTH indica and sativa hemp/marijuana plants.

I wish everyone could benefit immediately and stop having to wait for governments to allow us to get better.....

Best of luck to you,
Tiff

Muscle cramps are a classic sign of the need for more magnesium.
Mg glycinate is a great form of oral Mg.
Avoid Mg oxide.
Mg "oil" is a powerful way to get Mg. Mg chloride foot soaks and baths are very effective also. Do stay well hydrated when taking Mg.

A good video on Mg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUWL1o2hSrs

Hi THX1138,

Can you elaborate on the hydration comment please? I've been waking up with wrinkly fingers a lot these days which is a sign of dehydration. It's possible I'm making a mess of my magnesium intake. Generally I'm very well but I can't understand the wrinkly fingers issue and your comments could be very helpful.

Regards,

Unfortunately I don't know anything about wrinkly fingers.
Regarding hydration, I have noticed that when doing Mg foot soaks, my eyes often get dry if I don't compensate by drinking water. Additionally, a Dr. who is actually knowledgeable about Mg told me that the reason I experience a return of many symptoms (after only a few hours) after a strong Mg chloride foot soak most likely had to do with hydration and/or potassium.
If I understood it better, I would write more.

Regarding how much Mg to take, go by how you feel. The RDA of roughly 400 mg per day, as all RDA's, was meant for healthy people with no deficiencies.
One of the problems that I am fully sure that low Mg causes is over reactive muscles, including the stretch reflex. This one has been an ongoing issue for me, with more Mg making it better and less mg making it worse. I really think the doctor that told me that people with ms are mg wasters was quite correct.
