Yes, that well known expert on peddling supplements - Dr Mercola - was plugging this theme back in January.
Research by Columbia U Med Center a few weeks later came up with a different view: The researchers found that vitamin D supplementation itself had no overall impact on depression.
Of course, they are not trying to sell supplements.
The Vitamin D Council - who might have an interest in selling Vit D have also said: You shouldn’t take vitamin D in place of other treatments or anti-depressant medicines.
If you want to discuss Depression and Vit D, fine. But first, please define which depression - and if you don't know the different types, you have no place in the discussion.
