Leg Wraps

Anyone who has spent time in a hospital knows that they put compression sleeves over the calf muscles to help improve circulation and reduce the risk of blood clots. These leg wraps look like they might perform a similar function. They might be good for folks with limited mobility.

I think these leg wraps are doing the same thing as EECP (Enhanced External Counterpulsation) as described in this book,

I have not tried this therapy – not available in my area. Apparently, this is approved by the FDA, Medicare, and covered by most insurance plans. If Medicare or insurance coverage is available to a person, it might be worth trying this way before investing in your own leg wraps.
