The internet led me here, I am hoping for a little advice on what to do now. Seems many of you have been down a similar road. I'm 42 yr old male if that's relavent.
About 3 1/2 months ago I had a road bicycle crash and concussion, no helmet. About 2 months later I began experiencing what appears to be lhermittes. Vibrating down my back and legs, particularly when I bend my neck forward. Over the last few weeks it has got slowly worse, to the point where the vibrating sometimes overwhelms all the feeling from my abdomin to my knees. I also have developed sort of superficial numbness in my hands. Its now moving up my right arm. Tingling down to my toes. The symptoms are always there but vary widely in intensity
I had an MRI of c spine, which im told is normal. I now have one scheduled for my brain in 3 weeks.
My gp says there doesn't seem to be a pressing problem even though my symptoms are slowly worsening and becoming alarming. I have not seen a neurologist but my gp has consulted with one, who recommend MRI of the brain.
Its seems likely that its related to my injury but symptoms seem very unusual for a head injury but not so unusual for diseases like ms. Of course I'm not a doctor.
What would you do? Get a second opinion? Just wait a few more weeks for the next MRI? This whole thing had got me rattled, and I don't scare easily. Is this snails pace process typical?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
