Only read the above link if you want a really superficial assessment of MS numbers.
The Continental US is divided along the 37th Parallel, for example, with twice as many cases to the North of that line.
So why does Minnesota have an incidence that is twice that of Nebraska?
Why does Colorado have more cases than South Dakota?
Why is Vermont twice as bad as Maine?
Britain and the mainland Scandinavian countries are mentioned; strangely, Iceland, the Faroes, and Orkney and Shetland are not.
Cyprus is mentioned but not Sicily.
Of course, Sicily was invaded by the Norman French (of direct Norse descent) round about the same time that the Normans invaded England.
Anyone who gives any credence to the genetic influence of the Norse on MS prevalence might think this was just a tad selective.
Pretty graphics, but not anything new.
In fact, a lot of it looks to have been drawn straight from Kurtzke's 1983 paper (which was just a tiny bit flawed, itself).
