Thinned eye nerve indicative of MS?

I had an eye health test and the eye doctor told me I have a thinned left eye nerve. She showed me the pictures and how cloudy it looked compared to the right eye. I am going back to her next week to do another eye health test so she can make a definitive diagnosis regarding the nerve. I read that a thinned eye nerve may be indicative of MS? I know that I have no brain lesions because I recently had an MRI of my brain. For 6 weeks I have been having muscle pain in my right leg. It feels cramped and fatigued, every time I exert that leg it feels as if I'm running a race. Driving and operating the pedals with that foot is extremely tiresome. Also, I've been having twitching in the right leg as well. It ranges from my thigh down to my foot. My foot is constantly twitching; it always feels as if it's gurgling or like boiling water. My calves twitch and burn and my knee especially aches. The twitching ranges from extreme to mild. I was looking up jumping leg muscles when I first came down with the twitches because they were so extreme.

I was first thinking blood clot due to muscle pain and my best friend had a blood clot, so that was the only real thing I was aware of to search. When trying to see if my leg was swollen or red in comparison to the left leg, I noticed that it is in fact smaller (I measured them to confirm this) and you can barely see the calf muscle in comparison with the left. The entire leg is smaller than my right, not just the calf area. So this makes me think there is some onset of atrophy. I don't have weakness yet as far as I can tell, just extreme muscle fatigue and cramps/tightness.
I have also head various episodes of mysterious pain - costochondritis (chest pain) that has never really gone away and eventually my old GP said we would reevaluate the diagnosis but I ended up moving. Various other random aches and pains that last a few weeks.
Does MS present with such frequent cramping pain in one extremity or is it more widespread? Does it cause twitching? Should I mention the thinned eye nerve to the neurologist?

Thanks for reading my long post!

Welcome to ThisIsMS April. It's often best to let your doctor know of all of your symptoms. Writing them down prior to your appointment can be helpful. A thinned optic nerve isn't really a symptom, it's part of your medical history. Your doctor should have this as well.
