Critical Illness Cover - pre existing symptoms?? HELP!!

Hi all,
I am new to this forum and so so happy that I have found it!!
I am awaiting a dx of MS following an episode of transverse myelitis. I just wanted to pick some brains on what you believe a critical illness insurer may legally class as a "pre existing symptom" of MS. I have never suffered from the weakness/stiffness/numbness/tingling/doublevision etc.. for which I am very lucky. However, after my second pregnancy I did mention to my GP in a visit that I had the odd leg cramp and was feeling generally unwell in the months after birth. I am also (or was..) a keen runner.
In the light of accepting my imminent dx of MS (have been placed in 80% category due to lesions on spine and brain) the thought of a welcome critical illness payout is doing wonders for my mood!!!!!!!!!!
I would be so shocked if a single leg cramp could do me out of my claim!! I would understand if it was anything to do with numbness/tingling/vision problems.. but this cramp was in the months after giving birth and seems to be a very very common problem with pregancy AND the general population.
I would be so grateful to hear of anyone else experiences in this kind of situation.
Also, although the whole transverse myelitis episode and correlation with MS has left me very shocked to say the least - I am currently very much at peace with a forthcoming dx due to several things I have read about MS e.g the progress scientists are making with DMDs and the fact that not everyone ends up severly disabled or in a wheelchair etc. Do you guys feel positively about this too? It just seems that of all the diseases out there - if they are going to find a cure - MS will be at the top of the list!
The amount of people who have come out of the wood work lately to say that their friend/sister/mum/granny has MS and they are still playing tennis and just using a stick to walk with etc.. Its really inspirational!!
Many thanks for listening
