Hi everyone,

Just wanted to run by all of you my symptoms. I will be getting an MRI on my brain with contrast next week. Any feedback is appreciated.

Tingling that started on the right side of the head(temple to eye area) This has progressed to other areas of the head. Had extreme numbness and tingling with some pressure behind the nose and eyes once.

Both legs went numbs the other night. Left are lower part going numb. Little pricks that last several seconds. These are intense and burn.

Bowel issues went from constipation to soft stool green.
Usually have to go shortly after I eat with urgency.
Nausea left and ride side.

muscle pains in areas I have not had before.
Heart palpitatioins. Was originally diagnosed with SVT 4 years ago. Had an ablation. Now have tachycardia and throw PVC's.

Having trouble focusing and concentrating at times. Get misdirected easily.

Vision change-farsighted. Came out of know where. This change happened after the head numbness and tingling.

Dry mouth with snapping in the neck. At times hard to swallow. Have to literally chew my food even more. Voice tends to get hoarse. Lack of saliva.

Very low vitamin d levels.

Had a head trauma back in 1999-right frontal lobe. That is were all the head numbness began.

All blood work is normal and had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done. Passed with flying colors.

Seeing my gp again after the MRI.

Trying to peace this all together and get some answers. Very frustrating. Thank you again for responding.

Welcome to ThisIsMS, kmhcpts1.

You have asked, "Is this possible MS?" The short answer is "yes." Your symptoms are common to many conditions, including MS. But, since MS is a diagnosis of exclusion, the other more likely conditions that could be responsible for your symptoms must be ruled out first before the MS diagnosis can be made. There is no definitive test or MRI finding (not even lesions on the brain) which absolutely identifies MS. (By the way, I am curious… In general, when did these symptoms appear? – Head numbness began in 1999; heart palpitations in 2011; the others at the same time? How long have you had these symptoms?)

In my opinion (I have no medical background), a list of your symptoms is the most important item to present to your GP, when you see him.

The MRI may offer additional information (however, mine and many others' were normal for years before a diagnosis of MS was made). But, remember, even lesions on the brain are found in many conditions, such as migraines, vitamin B12 deficiency, and others.

You say, "All bloodwork is normal…" Exactly which tests were done? I think it is a good idea to request your own copy of any test results, it is best to have the actual number results.

You might find this 50-minute documentary featuring Sally M. Pacholok, RN, BSN, & her husband Jeffrey J. Stuart, D.O. (authors of the book, Could It Be B12? An Epidemic of Misdiagnoses); Lawrence Solomon, M.D., hematologist, Yale Medical School; Ralph Green, M.D., hematologist, UC Davis; and Donald Jacobsen, PhD, Cleveland Clinic (Homocysteine Research Lab) interesting since it mentions most of your symptoms:
