Hi

I've been getting tingling in hands and feet for many years. I had an mri of the brain which was clear. 5 years on I'm now getting the following symptoms.

Tingling mostly on left foot and hand
Buzzing sensations on legs
Tingling on lower legs
Vibrating feeling in left foot
Shivering sensation on lower half when not cold
Numbness in finger tips
Painful wrists and knees
Twitching in leg muscles

I get these symptoms all day pretty much every day.
I've never had a noticeable relapse.
I had another MRI brain three weeks ago which was clear

Could it be primary progressive?

I'm so convinced it's Ms but trying to stay positive.

Oh and growing type pains in my legs mostly left

Your doctor has undoubtedly told you that your symptoms are nonspecific and are found with many conditions. The other more likely conditions must be ruled out first before an MS diagnosis can be made.

Stay calm, take a deep breath, don't jump to conclusions. Take a written list of all your symptoms/timeline of their appearance to your doctor for discussion and make your gameplan with him for investigating the possibilities. (By the way, tingling/numbness in the hands/fingers, legs/feet is called "peripheral neuropathy." You may hear your doctor use this term.)

When any tests are done, request your own copy of the test results – it is important to have the actual numbers.

Thank you for replying. Trying to stay calm and positive but it's hard.

I'm waiting to see the neurologist, appointment is in 2 weeks time.

My gp thinks it's unlikely to be MS as I've had two clear scans in a long time span, but why am I getting these symptoms of nothing is wrong??!

You know your body best. If you think there is something wrong, there is something wrong. And your GP needs to be a "disease detective."
