Hello Folks,
My first post. I've been considering joining a site like this and finally decided to do it. I was diagnosed about 3 years ago. Had many 'episodes' before that where I would have numbness. Fell down a couple of times. I finally woke up one morning and my shoulder was throbbing. Went to the doctor and they advised to go to a surgeon. Long story short, I had a shoulder surgery after an MRI that showed damage. However, the pain only got worse, starting on my head and traveling down the right arm. I lose the ability to use my right hand until I rest it. Most recently, my right leg has started hurting. Drop foot, etc.
Back to the dx story - A doctor finally did an MRI on my neck and there were lesions. Had brain, and full spine MRI's (not a lot of fun when in pain) and they lit up like a Christmas tree. Did injections of Avonex and pills of Tecfidera. I was too embarrass of the symptoms and stopped because of work.
I stopped seeing a Neurologist about a year ago, or more like he stopped seeing me. I am progressing pretty quick now and want to get back into a Neuro but ins doesn't cover specialists until the deductible is paid.
Thank you for letting me complain. Just wanted to get it off my chest.

Hi and welcome to ThisIsMS, James. We are glad you decided to join us. We are good listeners because, at one time or another, we all need "to get things off our chest."
