The MTHFR variant c.1298A>C was associated with the development of relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) in a German population.
Well most of the MTHFRs I've met have been the ones who didn't have MS, of any phenotype. Even the Germans. I'd put money on it.

I am Homozygous for the MTHFR SNP. Can't remember which one though. I would like to take genetic profiles of 200 people with MS and see what similarities there are. One doctor is treating people with a variety of problems by correcting nutrient imbalances like zinc & B6. Very successfully. Conditions like ADHD, bipolar, Alzheimer's, autism etc. etc. He has the attention of a great number of psychiatrists who are impressed with the data he has collected over the last 40 years. He has a PhD in chemical engineering. William Walsh is his name. Nutrient Power is the name of his book.
