I'm seeing my neuro tomorrow pending the blizzard :-D . I know he wants a LP but the only MS "symptom" I've ever had is Optic Neuritis 7 years ago. He *has* found a few more lesions on an MRI
done recently for another reason. What do you think?

I think it is an excellent opportunity to give him a copy of the paper cited near the end of http://www.thisisms.com/forum/general-d ... 27269.html called Quantified CSF antibody reactivity against myelin in multiple sclerosis, which describes a test using an ELISA array which has very good accuracy for the diagnosis of MS. If he has such a suspicion, he can get a quantitative analysis which will unequivocally diagnose whether you do or don't have MS. I expect very little CSF is required compared to a standard LP. Please if you feel curious, read the paper in detail, and be prepared to describe what you suggest. It is better if the patient knows more than the doctor, in this case.
The high AUC value of the ECL myelin score
indicated its potential as a biomarker for MS.
