Fatigue, Insomnia, Restlessness, Stomach Problems - MS?

I'm a 23 year old guy.
18 months ago I had a cold which passed normally, except a lingering mental and physical fatigue.
Reading, watching TV or walking tires me quickly now, although 20 minutes of rest makes me feel fine again.
Is this a normal kind of fatigue for MS?
Stimulants don't help.
Also I started having trouble sleeping but Melatonin works well for that.

The last couple of months I've started being too restless to lie down and relax, I just get fidgety.
Same thing when trying to watch TV.
I can only rest when doing simple but stimulating things like eating or showering.
I don't feel anxious otherwise.
I haven't been able to find anything about MS causing restlessness like that.
I've tried the calmness/anxiety supplements Lemon Balm and Inositol to no effect.
Also, if I do something slightly stressful, I feel stressed the whole day afterwards.

A couple of years ago my stomach started getting upset if I ate nuts or whole grains. Recently that has started happening with fruit
and vegetables as well. Not sure if this is related to the other stuff.

One day I woke up dizzy and had impaired balance for a couple of hours, I took a motion sickness pill and it went away and didn't come back.

I went to some doctors a year ago, nothing wrong with all kinds of tests including hormones, vitamins, minerals and an MRI.
I haven't been overworked or depressed.
No history of medical problems.

Does this sound anything like MS?

Hi,

No, not really. Get a FODMAP test done. For the sleeping and the anxiety have a look at magnesium supplementation.

I can't say never but I think your problems (and they are problems) don't sound like MS.

Hi again,

As you mentioned it all started with a cold check for mycoplasma Pn. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mycoplasma_pneumoniae ) and chlamydia Pn (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlamydophila_pneumoniae )

Thanks for the replies Scott1!
FODMAPs sound interesting.
The cold was certainly not serious enough to be pneumonia I think though.

Hi,

I'm not implying it is pneumonia. That's just the appellation they give the variety of the bug. You can show very few symptoms but it can slowly wear you down.

I would just go to you doctor and ask to be tested for any underlying bugs that might weigh you down. There are travellers bugs that can get into your bowel, viruses that can linger, bites that seem harmless but just produce toxins etc.

I would still start at FODMAP for you.
