Where did the two postings go? One was in the Coimbra D in Treatments and the other one was posted by myself in General. BOTH have disappeared. Who removed them and why? The lady's name that had the original post was Ana Claudia.

I have downloaded her book and I am reading it. Contained within this Amazon page is her bio and one review. It appears that the release date for the book was last week.

Maybe this post will be deleted too!

My 'guess', SPAM (not your post, the original post).

Both the posts of Ana Claudia and myself were deleted. Only ThisisMS moderators are able to do this? I have sent a PM to NHE.

Jimmylegs deleted the post. Apparently she thought that it fit the definition of spam. I saw the original post before it was deleted and decided to let it be. Questions regarding removal of the post should be directed to Jimmylegs.

clarification: user reports specified spam as the concern. i don't think it's relevant which member did the reporting so will leave it there.

The book posted by Ana is not SPAM. It is quite simply the best thing that I have read since coming to this website 10 years ago! For the first time it explains the Coimbra protocol explicitly in English. I downloaded the book on Amazon for five dollars and found it to be excellent! Where is the spam?

It is a great disservice to the members of Thisisms to remove a roadmap to a CURE for most autoimmune diseases including MS. Please put back the posts by Ana and myself. Also, I believe the individuals who requested their removal should identify themselves on this thread! Moderators must outline the reasons behind post removal.

I did not report it but ultimately it is SPAM by definition and per the rules of this site is not allowed here as it was posted. But since you have read it, why don't you share its major points?

I'm not sure why some posts have been deleted and which exactly :) SPAM by definition has a bit different meaning for me, so I would argue if a link to a book is really a SPAM. Book contains information about MS disease, I would say it is educational.
Well anyway, I read the book "Multiple Sclerosis and (lots of) Vitamin D: My Eight-Year Treatment with The Coimbra Protocol for Autoimmune Diseases" as well.
I found one quote, which truly summarizes everything:
"What I say to those starting treatment with vitamin D is that i works, and it works very well. It might take a while, but as long as you have medical supervision, make the necessary dose adjustments and have patience, it will be effective. As a fellow patient says, with high doses of vitamin D only the improvements are progressive."

My own insights: Book is realistic. It is not embellished or hyperbolized. Author had ups and downs, and all is there in the book. In the end .. she improved and stopped progression. I would recommend to anyone, who is thinking to try high vitamin D doses.

I agree that suppressing information about books is not very productive. I am not a big fan of Amazon on account they seem to be easily convinced to carry a t-shirt about suicides or a book written by a serial-killer, or even a man who killed his wife. I do think these things should be available but not advertised.

But really, all someone has to include is the ISBN number or the title, and google's your uncle.

SPAM should be outlawed, in the name of good taste. My mother used to make me eat that stuff!

a vendor posting solely to promote the sale of his or her own product or service for personal financial gain is not likely to avoid a report from a user. not quite the same as unloading one's used bioness in an area specifically designated for that kind of activity.

there are certainly ways to post about books and products we like that are less likely to generate red flags from the membership. the book is already promoted elsewhere on the site with no objections from anyone to date.

1eye's suggestion is also a good one also.
