Hey everyone. I've been hanging out over at the Undiagnosed board, but was diagnosed with CIS yesterday.
I'm still in the diagnostic process of actual RRMS, so time and tests will tell if that is the case. I have repeat brain and c-spine MRIs next week and rounding out with an LP at the end of May.
My neuro said basically he would like me to start on Copaxone and I'm just wondering if anyone has any opinions/experiences/general comments that they'd like to share.
I'm lost right now and I don't know which end is up. Although the diagnosis was not unexpected, it still shook me up a bit.
Diagnosed with CIS
Re: Diagnosed with CIS
Listen to your neuro, pick a MS diet you are comfortable with and follow it, go gluten free, exercise regularly, remove all stresses from your life, get plenty of sleep and take supplements you feel might be beneficial (especially consider D3, B's, and fish oil to to start with).

What's the deal with gluten?
I already exercise (a lot!), take D3 (was low), B's and no fish oil yet.

What is a MS diet?
There are numerous diets geared towards those of us with MS. Many are very similar but some are totally opposite of each other, for example Dr Wahls' diet is a diet rich in grass fed meats andas also emphasises deep green vegetables where most MS diets promote little or no meat such as the Swank and Best Bet Diets.
There is a lot of info on this site with regards to diets.
How do I remove all stress haha?!?
This is perhaps the most important step to recovery. Don't take it lightly. Stress is a killer, and can only contribute to making you sicker.
What's the deal with gluten?
Many experts agree that most, especially those with MS, should not consume foods that have gluten.
Good health is not an accident, especially once diagnosed with a major illness. It takes hard work and persistence.
