difinative diagnosis

Starting at around the age of 35-40 I began experiencing clusters of symptoms that no doctor was able to put a firm diagnosis. It started with balance issues, feeling like I was walking on a rolling boat deck, then my eyes began quickly going in and put of focus. The symptoms snowballed from there, muscle spasms, back pain, muscle and nerve death in my right leg with no obvious cause, bouts of insomnia or fatigue and countless gastric and urinary issues. The symptoms would come in clusters then disappear for weeks or months. Each time returning for longer periods of time and occasionally more severe. I visited doctors of every specialty I could think of and they ran series after series of tests, lupus, lymes, diabeties, various types of arthritis and auto immune disorders. All with negative results. I've had conflicting MRI scans of my brain. One showed the appearance of white spots, the other claimed to be negative. The Neuro in NJ suggested the possibility of MS. After what I moved to Fl and continued to get conflicting results. One Neuro said no MS and the other told me it was early stage and come back when my symptoms worsened. Does this sound like MS to anyone out there? And if anyone lives in the Southwest portion of Florida( 1 hr SthW. of Tampa), can you recommend a Dr who can give me a more conclusive result? My eyesight and balance are beginning to deteriorate more rapidly now and I'm concerned anymore delay in treatment could have catastrophic results. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,
Yes, but it may be something else.
The first page of this may help with some ideas -

an updated regime is posted on 19th Dec 2015 but the Valtrex and Baclofen would be missing for you.
Regards

Welcome to ThisIsMS, TrishG. I cannot help with names of doctors in Florida; I hope you are open to other ideas, in general.
Your doctors made a good start in the investigation of your symptoms. I wonder if nutrient testing was included. Have you had a vitamin D blood test (the "25 hydroxy D" test)? Do you have the actual test result number to share with us? Vitamin B12 testing? A magnesium test? Zinc?
Unless you are sunbathing (without any sunscreen) for 15-20 minutes at solar noon (when the necessary UVB rays are present), it is possible to have an insufficient amount of vitamin D in your body – even if you live in Florida.
There are neurologists who recommend that patients with neurological symptoms should reach and maintain a level of 80-100 ng/mL in their blood. Your GP can order the test; a specialist is not required (although ANY doctor can order the blood test).
