I rephrase my question: can somebody explain why some MS patients have the feeling of constant thirst?

thanks, hector

You should discuss this with your Dr. Thirst can be due to medications that we take and Diabetes. Specific to MS, it is possible to the sensation of dry mouth. This is a sensory symptom. I drink more water simply because my mouth FEELS dry. I have been to the Dr. a couple of times and I am producing plenty of saliva and my mouth, upon exam is not dry.

Being thirsty can also be due to dehydration, meaning you are not drinking enough for your bodies need.

Your statement appears to imply that this thirst symptom is common to all MS patients. However, I don't experience constant thirst. I agree with the other poster, i.e., you may wish to discuss this symptom with your doctor. It could very well have nothing to do with MS.
