I am 59. I have had secondary progressive MS since 1983. I have spent the last four years researching and experimenting with magnets, electromagnetic fields, and steel. I am a qualified engineer in retirement because of MS. I have a wealth of experience of this science, and can contnue as follows -

Welcome back. You will now understand why I believe that MS has nothing to do with light levels and hence Vitamin D.To summarize so far. I have demonstrated that MS demyelination is caused by chains of magnetite wearing holes in the myelin as they vibrate at 50Hz, 60Hz in America. It only occurs at night when we remain stationary in sleep. It only occurs in highly populated areas of the world. It only occurs where magnetite is present. It increases in probability away from the Equator according to the angle of dip of the Earths magnetic field. If you are interested in an exact science, you can find tables of angle of dip for all major cities throughout the World. I am not sure if values of background electromagnetic fields for the same cities exist. It then gets very complicated to explain what proportion of these constitute vibration of the magnetite. You can be sure of one thing- they are very small indeed. The magnetic forces that attract the molecules together are themselvesw very small. If the vibration produced is too high, they will simply break apart and return to the bloodstream! to live another day! Think about this - More women that have MS have the relapsing remitting form of the diseae. This is probably because far more women than men use hand held lectric hairdriers. These radiate electromagnetic fields upwards of 1000X the background level!!!....

I don't know what happened to the other parts of your posting, but please put it all in one...

Many things favour getting better sleep being difficult in MS. Some of us think any vein drainage problems in the neck will interfere with sleep because the jugular opens up when we are supine (if it is not blocked). MS people have more need for collateral veins than the healthy, because of blockages, more so when lying down.

Also we now know that sleep allows the brain to do a massive backflush of spinal fluid that helps to carry away oxidants and other substances that accumulate during the diurnal forward flow of CSF. Lack of good sleep can result in an accumulation of these normal metabolic byproducts, and that can't be good.

So get lots of sleep if you can. I am using a CPAP machine lately. I don't know what the magnetic fields are doing during sleep, or even what magnetite is, but I suspect if there were a problem we'd have measured it by now. I'm not going to start wearing an aluminum foil beany or tape foil over all my windows. Sometimes I think I should, just to scare away unwanted visitors. But before I do that I think I'll try something with more gunpowder in it.

Magnetite is a magnetic mineral. It forms naturally occurring shiny black crystals in rocks.

The crystals can be found in a variety of shapes. I have a rock with magnetite in it and the crystals look more like tiny geodesic domes.

The concept of having this stuff in your brain is interesting. However, one might think that it would make getting an MRI rather catastrophic for the structural integrity of one's brain. If birds have it in their brains, then we should do an MRI on a bird to see if it survives.
