Dosage for starting again

Post by Dorita »

Hi everybody, I'm new in this chat and I would like to hear some thoughts from you please.

I stopped taking 3.5 mg, 3 months ago because I was feeling worst with foot drop and problems with vision, but I am thinking about giving a second chance but I don't know if it's good idea after not taking it 3 months ago because everything might get worst, and if it's good idea to start and continue just with 2 mg without increasing dosage.

Thank you very much!

Hi Dorita

I think your best bet is to indeed lower your dose to start. In fact you could start with 1 mg for a few weeks and see how you feel. While 3.5 mg is a common recommendation, it is not necessarily ideal for everyone. So, perhaps start with 1mg and titrate up to 2 then 3 and so forth depending how you feel.

You should also consult with your physician to be sure as well.

Good luck.....HUD

Hi HUD,

Thank you very much for your fast reply and in fact, that´s what I was kinda thinking...starting with a very low dosage; but also consulting with the physician as well :)

Thanks again! :)
